Tattoo Aftercare

These are aftercare instructions based on how your artist wrapped your tattoo. If you have any additional questions please call the shop or send us an email.

  • Leave the bandage on for 1-4 hours. When you remove the bandage wash tattoo, gently, with antibacterial soap. Repeat this step everyday for 2 weeks. Pat skin to dry.

We recommend to use non-scented lotion to moisturize your tattoo. Do not use vaseline, aquaphor or Neosporin. This will clog your pores and increase healing time. Do not use any fragranced products.

Avoid for the next two weeks:
    -Direct sunlight to tattoo.
    -Animal contact of tattooed area.
    -Submerging tattoo in water. Period.

Tattoo should be healed in a couple of weeks. ☺

Contact the shop for any questions.

If you happen to get an infection, please seek medical care it gets worse or does not improve with home care after a few days.

    Signs of infection including:
    -Redness and Swelling
    -Puss or Oozing
    -Bumps or Blisters
    -Fever or Chills

  • Saniderm (second skin) should be left on for 1-3 days. You may experience pooling inside of the bandage (this is normal).

When you take the Saniderm off, use hot water. It is recommended to do so in the shower. When it’s taken off use antibacterial soap to clean the tattoo.

If the Saniderm starts peeling off, use clean scissors to cut off excess. If a lot of it has peeled off, just remove the bandage.

If you notice the skin forming a red rash around the edge of the bandage take off immediately. This usually happens due to an adhesive allergy.

Avoid for the next two weeks:
    -Direct sunlight to tattoo.
    -Animal contact of tattooed area.
    -Submerging tattoo in water. Period.

Contact the shop for any questions. Seek a medical professional if you are showing signs of infection.
